GTA 6 Is Just One Month Away - What Do We Know About the PC Version?

GTA 6 is now only a short time away from release, and interest around Rockstar Games’ next major open-world title continues to build. The game is scheduled to launch on November 19, 2026 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
The story takes players back to Vice City, this time within the fictional state of Leonida. At the center of the game are Jason and Lucia, two protagonists whose lives become increasingly tied to the criminal world after a job goes wrong.
Rockstar has presented Vice City on a much larger scale than before, with beaches, nightlife, highways, urban districts, wildlife, smaller towns, and areas beyond the main city. Based on what has been shown so far, GTA 6 is shaping up to feature one of the most ambitious open worlds Rockstar has created.
One of the biggest unanswered questions is the PC version. Rockstar Games has not officially confirmed a PC release date, and at the moment the only confirmed launch platforms are PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.
Still, rumors within the gaming community suggest that the PC edition could arrive in the first quarter of 2027, which would place its possible release window between January and March 2027. This remains unconfirmed, so the Q1 2027 date should be treated purely as a rumor until Rockstar makes an official announcement.
A later PC launch would also fit Rockstar’s previous release strategy. Both GTA V and Red Dead Redemption 2 first arrived on consoles before eventually coming to PC. Extra development time could help Rockstar optimize GTA 6 for a much broader range of hardware and add PC-focused improvements.
If the same pattern is followed, the PC version could potentially offer higher graphical settings, improved resolutions, higher frame rates, and more customization options.
The current release picture is simple: the console version is set for November 19, 2026 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, while the PC version has not been officially announced. The rumored PC launch window remains Q1 2027.
As the console release gets closer, Rockstar is expected to share more details about gameplay, editions, pricing, online features, and possibly the future PC release.
For now, console players are preparing to return to Vice City in November, while PC players may need to wait a little longer.
Would you wait for the PC version of GTA 6, or are you planning to play it on PS5 or Xbox at launch?
